Kristian and Lacey met at a Friendsgiving celebration at Dwell, a young adults group at Hope Church in Tucson. For Kristian, it was love at first sight. For Lacey, it was a slow burn. As they got to know each other better they quickly discovered their mutual love for medicine and heart for missions. Lacey was just beginning nursing school at Grand Canyon University, and Kristian was finishing up his undergraduate studies at the University of Arizona with plans to enter medical school. Over the course of many months, Kristian and Lacey developed a strong friendship, and eventually started courting in September of 2023. By December, they felt like the timing of their relationship wasn't quite right and decided to just be friends. In March of 2024, Lacey heard from God that Kristian was her future husband. Kristian took a bit longer, but during a prophetic conference in May, he heard from the Lord that Lacey was his future wife. They began courting again in May, and after many long conversations, spells of laughter, hard discussions, and great adventures, Kristian and Lacey got engaged on the Big Island of Hawaii on November 9th, 2024.
